Basic Educare Teachers' Training Course (Long Distance Learning)
The course consists of the following modules:
1. The aims and methods of teaching the pre-school child
2. The Holistic approach and developmental stages
3. The layout of the indoor and outdoor facilities
4. Indoor and outdoor equipment
5. The daily programme
6. Morning ring
7. Posters
8. Themes
9. Second / Music and movement ring
10.Creative activities
11.Story telling
On application, each student will receive a student number and a course book with all course details and requirements. Evaluation and questionnaire forms will be submitted including details of required assignments. Students are able to work at their own pace and although the course is FUN and exciting, it is also challenging - knowledge is power!
Two Courses are now offered, the first being the ETDP SETA Accredited Version at R4500.00 per student (Provided by CFS SETA, Accredited Service Provider) and the second being the ELPSCA non-accredited version at R3000.00 per student. This course is extremely cost effective, especially due to the volume of content in providing information for setting up an Educare/playground and classrooms and running a professional daily programme.
After completing the course enrolment form, students will be emailed with details regarding payment.
